FAQ
Surely we can try to stop this proposal getting planning permission?
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) believe that they do NOT need planning permission as they claim the proposal does not cause a "change of use". This is plainly unfair as the site use to be a photographic studio for a few people and the MoJ plan to add a 3rd story to the building, house 100 staff who will service 350 customers per week. To any rational person this would clearly seem to be a change of use already even before you consider that the customers in question are convicted criminals out on parole.

Isn't Mill Street in the City Centre anyway?
No! To quote Cllr Susanna Pressel, Lord Mayor of Oxford, "not by ANY definition is Mill Street in the city centre!"
In fact Mill Street is a quiet residential area outside the city centre and is inhabited by so many families for exactly that reason.
